How Youri Tielemans became a key figure in Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester City revolution

data-js=”article-body” data-insert-mobile-adslot>

“He can come here and develop and flourish more as a player. He then may have other choices again later on but from a football and family perspective, this was the best option for him.”

United were indeed an option for Tielemans in the summer, but it was all dependent on whether Paul Pogba was sold to Real Madrid. Tielemans was not prepared to wait, and informed both Monaco and his representative that a permanent move to Leicester was the preferred next step in his career.

Jon Rudkin, the club’s director of football, was worn down by weeks of bartering with Monaco but agreed a deal shortly before Leicester flew to France for a pre-season training camp.

Tielemans is now fully settled in north Leicestershire with long-term partner Mendy – they met in their early teens while Tielemans was at Anderlecht – and last month they welcomed a new addition to the family: daughter LeSteven Gerrard has spoken of his trial with Manchester United as a junior.Gerrard, now Rangers manager, admits he played alongside United Treble hero Wes Brown.“It was strange, really, because I had a lot of letters come in at the time to go and trana, who is the baby sister of Melina.

“For Youri, football and family is key for him,” said Rodgers. “I think he wanted to come to a club not just for his football, but for the family. Bringing a young wife here, this is a club which is absolutely the perfect fit for him because it’s a really good family club, a community club.

“He came back a little bit later in pre-season and wasn’t quite up to speed, but now he’s up to that level with his fitness. He’s got a wonderful view of the game for a 22-year-old, compared to lots of 22-year-olds I’ve worked with. He’s got a real football brain, he understands the game absolutely 100 per cent. He’s been given a great education in football and he takes that onto the field.”

He only turned 22 in May but it feels like he has been around for years, one of Belgium’s most hyped young talents. Captain for all of Anderlecht’s teams at junior level, he made his senior team debut as a 16-year-old and was the Belgian player of the year in 2017. The move to Monaco later that year never really worked out, mainly due to a fractious relationship with manager Leonardo Jardim, but joining Leicester has sparked his career back into life.

With an eye for goal and a wonderful wide range of passing, he is one of the catalysts for the press which Rodgers feels is so crucial to his high-intensity style of play.

Only Liverpool’s Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold have made more passes into the final third than Tielemans this season, while he has provided more assists than any other Leicester player since February.

Leicester appear genuine contenders to secure a top-four finish, and last week booked their place in the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup and signing Tielemans was a huge statement for Rodgers.

“I think he gets recognition but he’s not overly bothered by it,” said the Leicester manager. “That’s not why he plays the game. He plays the game to win and be the best he can be. He really is a fantastic player.”

Minicamp Day 3: Jim Kelly fires up team

It was an , but it was very inspiring for everyone in attendance when Jim Kelly still recovering from his last round of treatments for sinus cancer walked onto the practice field for the final day of Bills minicamp. He addressed the team following the stretch period and broke the team down with a “one, two, three, playoffs.” Needless to say it put a spring in the step of every player on the field.

“Just to see him out here, I don’t care what you’ve got on your mind or what’s on your plate, it’s not near something that he’s gone through,” said Bills quarterback Jeff Tuel. “To see him out here to talk to us and keep our spirits up I don’t think we’ve had as good of a start to practice as we did after Jim spoke to us. He had great words and I think it fired everybody up because there was a lot of energy after that.”

There’s no question there was an edge to practice right at the start, which is why head coach Doug Marrone never has a problem with a Bills legend addressing the team.

“We always appreciate him,” said Marrone. “Personally for myself, I miss having Jim around. He was great for myself and great for Coach Hackett and coming around, talking to us, having great insight and being a true Bill in every sense of the word. We’re with him. We’re fighting through this. Just like he’s been there with us trying to fight through what we’re going through. We support him and it was great for him to get out there and be amongst the team, which I think he feels comfortable about and having the strength to address them.”

For the past two days rookie seventh-round pick Seantrel Henderson has manned the starting left tackle position in place of an under the weather Cordy Glenn. From the outset of the spring practices Marrone has said that Henderson has the skill set to play at the NFL level. He got a quick indoctrination to the NFL game on Wednesday and Thursday, but did not look overmatched.

Sure there were times when Jerry Hughes and Manny Lawson got the best of him, but it appeared to be more a byproduct of inexperience rather than ability. Henderson is physically gifted with the agility and strength that is not often seen in men his size (6-7 331).

“I didn’t know that Cordy had an illness, but ever since coach told me before practice Wednesday that I was going to be running with the ones he’s been nothing but a big help along with Eric Wood,” Henderson told “It’s just seizing the opportunity. That’s all it is. A little nervous, but just putting a little more pressure on myself to go out there and make sure I do my assignments right and making sure that I’ve got the calls down pat so I’m just flowing like I’m a veteran even though I’m a rookie.”

Henderson struggled with the speed rush of Jerry Hughes on Wednesday surrendering a couple of tap out sacks, but was much more effective in Thursday’s practice. The Miami product doesn’t mind facing Hughes, Manny Lawson and Jacquies Smith coming off the edge. He knows top flight competition will only help him.

“Great guys. They get me better every day,” he said. “I haven’t had the chance to go against Mario (Williams) yet, but 55, 54 and 91 are bringing it every day and it’s been good competition.”

Fellow rookie and top draft choice Sammy Watkins also got an introduction to Stephon Gilmore and Leodis McKelvin as both veteran cornerbacks saw their most extensive action Thursday. Several times Watkins was matched up against both of them and they weren’t giving the receiver much room to work.

“They’re very competitive. They’re great cornerbacks, they’re the top cornerbacks here and I got some good work with them today,” said Watkins. “They kept me alert. It’s going to be easy when the pads go on and I can touch and grab them some. Just like they grab me I can grab them too.”

Watkins said he took some mental notes on both corners so he’ll know going into training camp what they like to do.

“They like to press and they like to hold you so now I have to come back prepared and work my craft. I’ve got some tricks too,” Watkins said.

Aaron Williams jumped a route by Robert Woods early in 7-on-7 to intercept an EJ Manuel pass that he would’ve returned for a touchdown in a game setting.

Manuel overcame the early pick and went back to Woods for a 40-yard gain down the left sideline.

Corey Graham executed a difficult pass breakup on a deep post intended for Watkins by Manuel. Graham leaped at the perfect time to calmly deflect that pass away from the waiting hands of Watkins. The play would’ve been a touchdown if it was completed.

Stephon Gilmore broke up a pass intended for Watkins in the end zone during red zone work on a throw from Manuel.

Bryce Brown made a difficult catch down by his knees in the right flat on a throw from Tuel and was still able to get upfield for positive yardage.

Anthony Dixon pulled in a Dennis Dixon pass coming out of the backfield and though he slipped was able to dive for the pylon and score during red zone work.

Chris Hogan made the catch of the day with an over the shoulder fingertip grab down the left sideline on a throw from Tuel for a touchdown during 11-on-11 red zone.

Kyle Williams logged a would-be sack with his trademark penetration into the offensive backfield.

Manuel and Woods hooked up for touchdowns on back-to-back plays in an 11-on-11 red zone series. On the first play Woods cut back outside and Manuel put it toward his outside shoulder despite tight coverage. The receiver dove to make the catch just inside the goal line for a score.

On the ensuing play Manuel reads took him back across the field. He left the pocket due to oncoming pressure and spotted Woods under the goal posts for a 10-yard touchdown pass.

Free agent rookie Michael Carter made an acrobatic interception in the back of the end zone on a Thad Lewis pass intended for Chris Summers.

The right side of the offensive line opened a good hole for Dixon as he shot through the opening created by Erik Pears and Kraig Urbik to reach the end zone.

Dixon would score again on another red zone run play that he took to the right up the middle.

Lineup notes

Chris Hairston again lined up at the starting right guard spot a good deal as he got more of the snaps there than Kraig Urbik who rotated in. Head coach Doug Marrone addressed the emerging competition heading into training camp.

“He’s a big body and it’s a position for that,” said Marrone of Hairston. “We have Kraig Urbik. We have Chris there. We have some of those younger guys that are playing that position. Like we said, it’s hard to judge at this time of year in shorts and how it’s going to shake out, especially up front. So we’re putting everyone in there and giving them an opportunity to learn that stuff so they can go ahead and compete.”

Guard wasn’t the only place that Urbik lined up. Late in practice he went for a series at center in place of Eric Wood while Hairston manned right guard.

Doug Legursky, who has largely lined up at center with the second unit also got some right guard reps with the second team offensive line.

Preston Brown and Kiko Alonso continue to be the top nickel package linebacker pairing with Brandon Spikes and Nigel Bradham rotating in behind them. Alonso, Spikes and Rivers have been the top base defense linebackers.

The players are off for about a month with the report day for them being July 18th at training camp in advance of the first practice on Sunday July 20th. It doesn’t offer a long break, but there are benefits to that as coach Marrone sees it.

“Hopefully it’s good,” said Marrone. “From a retention standpoint, it’s a quick turnaround so we should be in good shape.”

Manuel's roots offer history of top flight talent

By now most Bills fans are aware that Hall of FaTurf Moor in a £15m deal from his home-town club Middlesbrough just 12 months ago – but played just one league game in an injury-plagued campaign. The Clarets would consider a loan move for the stopper who was on England’s radar before he was sidelmer Bruce Smith is EJ Manuel’s godfather. Both grew up in the Tidewater region of Virginia that has produced a bumper crop of professional athletes for a few generations now. Manuel is part of the latest string of NFL caliber talent that keeps streaming from the 757 area code.

That area of Virginia is also known as the seven cities and includes Chesapeake, Hampton, Newport News, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk and Virginia Beach. Bills players alone from that region include Smith, Arthur Moats, Keith Goganious and Scott Norwood. Ruben Brown also hailed from Virginia.

Growing up Manuel remembers watching pro athletes that once played on the same fields as he did. He doesn’t deny it served as added motivation.

“You see so manyUnited boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer faces having to work with Alexis Sanchez next season. The Daily Express says United are desperate to offload Sanchez this summer after an injury ravaged campaign saw him only score twice in 27 games.Ole Gunnar Solskjae athletes from the area, DeAngelo Hall, Kam Chancellor, Allen Iverson in basketball, Michael Vick, Percy Harvin,” said Manuel. “You see all those guys excelling as they move on to college and then make it to the NFL, it kind of gives you confidence moving forward and tells you that you can do the same thing.”

“We know that we have the potential,” said Moats, a Portsmouth native. “The guys we’re talking about are or could be Hall of Famers. These are people that have been there and made it. We know we’ve competed in that same type of atmosphere and that same area.”

Bills Assistant GM Doug Whaley says when an area has a track record of talent like the Tidewater region, it only helps younger athletes, provided those that reach the professional level explain what it took to get there.

“I think there’s some validity to that because it’s a role model and this guy came from where I come from,” said Whaley. “Hopefully those guys go back and talk to the next group coming up about the sacrifices they made and work they put in and that’s it’s not just showing up and making things happen.”

“He digested the information that I was trying to provide for him, considering I had walked down a similar path,” said Smith. “He’s done an excellent job of execunal. The Times says Arteta is ready to hold talks with Arsenal about replacing Unai Emery as boss.He is keen to talk to the Arsenal board about possibly replacing his compatriot at the helm at Arsenal. The report adds that Gunners chiefs are also interting while becoming a better person than a football player. This is an incredible man that Jackie and Eric (Manuel) and the rest of his family are extremely proud of and the Hampton Roads area is extremely proud of along with Florida State.”

Bills eight-time Pro Bowl guard Ruben Brown cautions however, that gaining the acceptance of the top Virginia athletes that come before you requires some work.

“In Virginia that’s a big deal, but you have to earn it,” said Brown. “He’s still got to do some work. I know my first year with the Bills Bruce didn’t say much to me at all. He never befriended me. He said, ‘You have to have a season and three games before you’re not a rookie.’ And Bruce reminded me that second season and I took that as a challenge because I wanted him to notice.”

Moats, who graduated high school the same year as fellow Virginia talents as Seahawks safety Kam Chancellor and receiver Percy Harvin, believes the degree of talent and competition from that region is so high that it convinces them they can play at any level.

“For the most part athletically you know if you can come out of there that you can play with anybody,” said Moats, who also has a tattoo of Virginia with the area code 757 written inside it on the right side of chest. “I always describe it this way. Texas has all the big guys, Florida has all the fast guys, but we have all the playmakers. There’s a lot of versatility in that Tidewater area.”

Manuel appears to possess plenty of versatility himself, but he’s not counting on the history of his hometown area to contribute to his measure of success in the NFL. He’s prepared to make that happen on his own.

“I’ve just got to go out and learn,” he said. “I think that’s the best thing I can do as a young guy coming in. I think that’s the best way to earn the respect of your teammates. There is a lot of hard work to be done yet.”

Theo Walcott assured of Arsenal future and accepts wide-right role as Arsene Wenger pursues Jamie Vardy

data-js=”article-body” data-insert-mobile-adslot>

Walcott, however, held talks with Wenger at the end of the season and  the pair have agreed that he will mainly compete for a place on the  right – rather than as a central striker – next term.

The 27-year-old had previously pushed for a chance to play regularly  through the middle, but now accepts he fits better into Wenger’s side  out wide and wants to concentrate on trying to make the position his  own.

Walcott still has three years to run on his Arsenal contract and  Wenger does not want him to leave, with Danny Welbeck facing a long  spell out injured and the club open to offers for Alex  Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Manchester City and Liverpool had expressed an interest in Walcott,  but it appears the former Southampton youngster wants to give it at  least one more season at Arsenal.  Other than boosting his Arsenal career, concentrating on a place on  the right represents Walcott’s best hope of winning an England recall  as Hodgson is blessed with a number of central striking options.

Vardy has been keeping Arsenal waiting over his decision on whether or  not to move to the Emirates or stay at Leicester City and is now with  the England squad in France for the Euros.

The Gunners are waiting for an answer from Vardy, but the club will  certainly sign at least one new forward to compete for a place through  the middle with Olivier Giroud, which means Walcott will move back to  the wing.  Walcott’s best season with Arsenal came while he was playing on the  right in 2012-13, when he scored a career-high 21 goals in all  competitions.

He started this season competing for a place through the middle and  started well by keeping Giroud out of the side and scoring four goals  in his first nine games.  But Walcott suffered a difficult second half of the campaign, which  has prompted a re-think over his best position and put more pressure  on Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Like Walcott, the 22-year-old is on City’s list of English targets and  would also be welcomed back by his former club Southampton.  A knee injury ended Oxlade-Chamberlain’s hopes of playing for England  in Euro 2016 and the midfielder is determined to do everythin management have concerns over Aaron Ramsey’s season start. The Wales international left Arsenal in the summer and moved to Turin on a free transfer. The Juventus.html”>Daily Mail says with just three starts across all competitions so far this season, g in his  power to make next season a success, but that will require regular  first-team football.

Friday Five: Dark horse 2019 Heisman Trophy contenders who deserve more recognition

The Heisman Trophy has followed a trend in the last few years, and I don’t just mean it has gone to Oklahoma quarterbacks. The award has been becoming more of a quarterback award for a while now, as Derrick Henry (2015) is the only non-quarterback to win the bronze statue since 2010. Since 2000, only two running backs have won the award, with the other being a different Alabama ballcarrier in Mark Ingram (2009). The other 16 winners have all been QBs.

Another trend I’ve noticed more recently is that since the Playoff came into existence in 2014, only one player on a team not in the CFP has won the award. That was Lamar Jackson in 2016. His fellow finalists that season were Clemson’s Deshaun Watson, Oklahoma’s Baker Mayfield and Dede Westbrook and Michigan’s Jabrill Peppers. As a defensive player, Peppers never had a chance. The other three finalists would play in the College Football Playoff.

The playoff has driven so much discussion in college football since its inception that it seems natural the Heisman would follow suit. When so much of the discussion revolves around the same teams, those players enter the national consciousness. There’s a reason the three runaway favorites for the Heisman entering the 2019 season were Alabamcannot wait to play for Newcastle United again. The striker signed as a free agent this summer and is working tirelessly to get himself ready for action.Speaking about making his second debut for the club, Carroll said: “I can’t wait to just walk out a’s Tua Tagovailoa, Clemson’s Trevor Lawrence and Oklahoma’s Jalen Hurts. Not only are they all QBs, but they’re QBs for teams who have played in the CFP and are expected to get back this season.

While it may not be one of those three players, odds are that whoever wins the Heisman this December will be a QB from one of the four teams in the playoff field. It’s the new reality we face, and it’s one that I’m trying to stay aware of as a Heisman voter.

In an effort to do that, for this week’s Friday Five I’m ranking five players who have little to no chance of winning the Heisman this season, but maybe they should. Some of them play for playof taken a swipe at Victor Font.Font has launched his campaign to unseat Barca president Josep Maria Bartomeu at this year’s club elections. And on social media, Font’s campaign organisers encouraged socios to “get to know” his plans by directing them tf contenders but don’t occupy the favorable positions. So, without further ado, let’s get to it.

: Since being a QB of a playoff team helps your candidacy a lot, let’s start with the QB for a teama wants to play international football – even if it’s not to be with France.Following his alleged part in blackmailing fellow France international Mathieu Valbuena, Benzema hasn’t played for Les Bleus since 2015.French Football Federation president N that has almost no chance at making the playoff. The Knights lost McKenzie Milton to injury late last season and brought in Brandon Wimbush as a transfer from Notre Dame to add experience to the position. That experience didn’t matter. While Wimbush started the season, it didn’t take the Knights long to make the change to Gabriel. To this point, he’s rewarded them for their confidence. Gabriel ranks sixth nationally in passing efficiency (behind guys like Hurts, Tua, Joe Burrow, and Justin Fields) and has thrown for 1,338 yards and 14 touchdowns in five games. He’s going to continue putting up monster numbers in an explosive offense, and will deserve more Heisman consideration than he’s likely to get come December.

: OK, so I have two QBs on this list, but this is the last one; I’ve got a point to make here, after all. Point or not, I couldn’t leave Newman off this list. He plays for a small, private school in the ACC with little tradition as a football powerhouse, so he has absolutely no shot at winning the Heisman. He’s playing like somebody who does, though. Do you know which QB leads the ACC in passing yards, passing touchdowns and passing efficiency? It’s not Trevor Lawrence! It’s Jamie Newman. Newman has thrown for 1,521 yards, 14 touchdowns, and has also rushed for 262 yards and three touchdowns. He’s a dual-threat that leads one of the most explosive offenses in the country. Maybe he won’t get the attention of enough Heisman voters, but I bet talent evaluators have taken notice.

: The fact I listed all four of Alabama’s receivers is precisely the reason none of them have a chance to win the Heisman. Well … that and they’re wide receivers. No matter how pass-happy the game of football becomes, wide receivers rarely receive much consideration for the Heisman. This is a special case, however. All four of these guys would be the No. 1 receiver on at least 120 teams in the country, but they all play together and they all play on the receiving end of passes from Tagovailoa. To this point, Tagovailoa is averaging 4.04 Air Yards per pass attempt. That means his average throw has traveled 4.04 yards past the line of scrimmage. Do you know how many receiving yards Alabama is averaging per passing attempt? 11.19. That’s a difference of over 7 yards per attempt which means that Alabama receivers are doing a ton of work after catching passes from Tua. In fact, as a team, Alabama receivers lead the nation in yards after catch with 1,263. Those 1,263 yards account for 73.5 percent of Tagovailoa’s yardage total this season. Who will get the credit for all those yards when it comes to filing Heisman ballots in December? Not the receivers.

: If there’s a running back that’s going to win the Heisman this season, it will likely be Wisconsin’s Jonathan Taylor. The reason is that Taylor was “anointed” as the RB candidate this preseason. Plus, you know, he’s really good. Still, Hubbard’s pretty good, too! Hubbard leads the nation in rushing with 938 yards this season, and the next closest player to him is Ohio State’s J.K. Dobbins who is a full 284 yards behind Hubbard. Hubbard leads the nation in yards, yards per game, attempts per game and rushing touchdowns. He is an absolute workhorse in an explosive Oklahoma State offense. If he continues to play at his current pace, Hubbard will finish the regular season with 2,251 yards. If Oklahoma State can get him an additional game by reaching the Big 12 Championship, he’d be on pace to finish with 2,439 yards and 26 touchdowns. That would certainly be enough to grab him Heisman votes — maybe even make him a Heisman finalist. But would it win him the award? Probably not, because he plays the wrong position.

: Speaking of playing the wrong position, Ohio State’s Chase Young plays the wrongest of them all: defense. Young is an absolute monster for the Ohio State defense. Think of all the great pass-rushers and players that the Buckeyes have produced and sent forth to the NFL in recent years. Young might be better than them all as he currently leads the nation with eight sacks. If Ohio State reaches the Big Ten title game, Young will have played 13 games by the time votes are due. At his current pace, he’ll have roughly 21 sacks on the season by then. That’s a number that will grab attention. No FBS player has finished a season with 20 sacks since Louisville’s Elvis Dumervil did so in 2005. Washington’s Hau’oli Kikaha came closest, finishing the 2015 season with 19. If Young can reach 20 — or get close — it would likely be enough to make him a finalist in the vein of Jabrill Peppers in 2016 or Ndamukong Suh in 2009. It won’t win him the award, though, because he plays defense and that just does not happen. Hopefully being the likely No. 1 pick in the next spring will soothe the sting.

: Cam Akers, RB, Florida State; Cedric Byrd, WR, Hawaii; JK Dobbins, RB, Ohio State; Anthony Gordon, QB, Washington State; Kylin Hill, RB, Mississippi State

Appalachian State vs. Georgia Southern odds, line, start time: Picks, predictions from model on 5-1 run

The Sun Belt’s hottest teams square off Thursday in a clash for conference supremacy as the host the at 7:30 p.m. ET. Both are undefeated in conference play and coming off strong wins: The Eagles crushed by 17 and the Mountaineers slipped past  27-17. Appalachian State opened as an 11.5-point favorite and now is laying 10. The over-under, which opened at 49, is 47.5 in the latest Appalachian State vs. Georgia Southern odds. Before you make any Appalachian State vs. Georgia Southern picks, check out what the SportsLine Projection Model has to say.

The advanced computer model simulates every FBS game 10,000 times, and those who have followed it have seen massive returns. In the past three years, this proprietary computer model has generated a jaw-dropping $4,210 profit for $100 bettors.

The model made several huge calls against the spread last week, including nailing (-6) over , (-3) over  and (-29.5) over . And when it comes to top-rated picks against the spread, it finished Week 8 on a strong 5-1 run. Anyone who has followed it is way up.

Now, the model has simulated Appalachian State vs. Georgia Southern 10,000 times. We can tell you it’s leaning over, but it has also produced a strong against-the-spread pick that hits nearly 65 percent of the time. You can only see it at SportsLine.

The model has factored in that Appalachian State’s offense has been on fire all season, averaging an extraordinary 41.5 points. Quarterback has been effective this season, throwing for 1,146 yards and 11 touchdowns against only four interceptions. The sophomore is also third on the team in rushing yards with 276 and has found pay dirt six times with his legs. His main go-to guy is receiver , who’s notching a whopping 21.5 yards per reception.

But the Mountaineers’ ferocious, unrelenting ground attack is what propels their offense. Averaging 264 rushing yards as a team, Appalachian State nets 6.3 yards pero Michu has spoken of turning down Aston Villa in 2015. Despite entering the final year of his deal at the Liberty Stadium, Michu has opened up on why he rejected a move to the Midlands with injuries taking a serious toll on his body.“I remember ir carry. Over six games, it has 18 rushing touchdowns. Running backs (three touchdowns) and (six) have half of those ground scores and at least 400 ru Arsenal about a permanent deal for on-loan midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan. The Armenian, who only spent 18 months at the Emirates, headed for Italy in the summer as he looked to resurrect his career.Gazzetta dello Sport says now the Italians want to kshing yards apiece.

But just because Appalachian State has plenty of firepower doesn’t mean it’ll cover Thursday.

Eagles quarterback has only thrown for 491 yards and four scores, but has yet to toss a pick. He’s also the team’s leading rusher with 542 yards and nine touchdowns. The 5-foot-11 sophomore is deceptively quick and sturdily built. Linemen trying to tackle him in the open field one-on-one are toast as he often wends his way into opposing secondaries.

Keeping the heat off Werts is a heavy-duty, ground-and-pound rushing attack that is racking up 276 yards per game, 12 more than Appalachian State. Running back trails only Werts in rushing yardage with 472 and four touchdowns. Spelling Fields is , who has fourternational says Spurs did not allow him to leave.Speaking to French-African broadcaster Bal des Productions, Aurier said: “What competition? There isn’t any.”I’d simply decided to leave [this summer], which was normal for me. Many things were taken scores on 344 yards.
